THE NDP: Fundraiser and campaigner for Singh and Horvath, Adam is seasoned in the traditional political realm and will seek the NDP's endorsement.
ANARCHISM: Piano Teacher and proprietor of "Anarchist Piano Lair" in Kensington Market, Adam identifies with Chomsky's brand of anarchism — skepticism of power, and he understands anarchism's roots in Christianity — His family members are Protestants, Jews, Anglicans, Catholics, and Christian Atheists.
THE PIRATE PARTY: Direct democracy should matter more to the NDP, like it does to “The Pirates” -- Adam is the Toronto Strategy Coordinator for the pirates and is in regular talks with Pirate Parties International. He opposes all forms of censorship and intellectual property.
THE SOCIALIST ALLIANCE: In the wake of the violent police raids of encampments in which Adam was arrested and charged as a protestor, he co-founded socialistalliance.ca, a new party which gained 15,000 votes in southern Ontario in its first season. In his first run, he emerged as the median candidate in a field of 14 options without NDP or Progress Toronto support, with almost no budget, and *without* door-to-door or direct phone campaigns. He was one of several spoiler candidates who were each independently sufficient to shift the balance of power from Norm, the NDP, to Diane, with the Greens. Aiming to defund the police force while living in a major city is something I don't understand. The wait times for police are abysmal here and that includes calls with real emergencies - missing children, domestic violence - I wouldn't want the same for Toronto.
Police need better training over smaller budgets. If we can't attract good candidates to be officers with an appropriate pay and benefits then we get stuck with absolute shitheads.
I’m shocked the NDP allowed you to run under them, barrier to entry must be nonexistent.
