[After these events]
When I was arrested at "Lamport 2" the cops asked me if I had any religious needs in custody--I perked up and said "Religion?" They said "Yeah". Bear in mind I had just sung "Amazing Grace" at the top of my lungs for 30 minutes in the paddy wagon. (So no, I won't STFU for you or anyone.) I bellowed: "Well I'm an Atheist but I was RAISED CHRISTIAN and the way the City's treating homeless people is UNGODLY. I am a CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR." -- You should have seen the looks on their faces.
They also asked me if I had Mental Health needs and I said "Yeah, the way the City's treating homeless people is making me LOSE MY FUCKING MIND--may I speak with a counsellor?" They replied awkwardly "Uh, no, we don't actually have any counsellors at the police station" When then why'd they fucking ask? Just as with the suit against Seivwright these folks in moral myopia simply apply 'The method of least lawsuit'--do you see what I mean? They only cared about liability for suicide--not anyone's mental health for a second.
And with Seivwright, Walberg and Jessop were worried about insurance premiums, not deaths--exposure deaths don't cost them anything--they actually save money--but tiny shelter fires were affecting insurance premiums. Abominable. So they go after the CARPENTER (once again, not the literal son of God) who is applying his most useful skill in a state of emergency they declared themselves! The first ever in Toronto's history! But why should anyone help?
And only three incumbents running for re-election voted for a judicial inquiry into all this... We need to clean m0therfucking house this October 24th.
