Today, I saw a man hit a woman in the street -- not hard, but it was about to escalate and I shouted at him "DON'T TOUCH HER" -- she had hit his snowplow playfully with a bit of snow in a dumb joke -- not the man -- and he *got out of his vehicle and charged at her as if he were personally assaulted*, striking her hands with his own and glaring as he drew closer to her face with his face, which I then struck with a snowball -- I proceeded to alternately draw him off and protest his behavior, and he charged at me, tripping me on the ice, and I hit my head lightly into a Heritage Sign -- I will have to check which one -- I shouted "YOU FUCKER" and picked up the #BampotViolatesHumanRights flyers I had dropped in the snow in the light fall, and came back at him, both of us challenging him on his behavior. The woman thanked me as he drove off and I handed her a flyer.
I caught up on foot as he was stuck at a red light, and I blocked his snowplow in a flash protest, and several people argued me with me that I was blocking traffic, and every time I told them in these exact words: "I just saw him hit a woman with my own two eyes" they said variations of "It's okay" and "It doesn't matter" which incensed me to no end in the irate street argument which ensued -- one man threatened to assault me and the original physical assailant threatened to call the police, which I kept telling him, that's what I'm waiting for you to do, so I can tell them what I saw when they get here. The man who had threatened to assault me challenged me on how much tax I pay but didn't want to talk when I pivoted to religion, he broke eye contact.
Then the snowplow driver switched strategies to his OG MO of getting out of his snowplow and physically charging at people—this time I decided to take cover in a local store and TWO HAD LOCKED THEIR BUSINESS DOORS, but the local shawarma place was a brief refuge -- eventually this back-and-forth allowed him to drive off, I not finding any instant allies who would believe my testimony, and I will follow-up with his employer: “A&F”
I called him a MISOGYNIST ASSHOLE as he drove away…
