Independent verification in Math turned out to be required as well — what good is a proof no one can check?

But what makes verification ‘independent’?

”Free Will”?

Physical separation?

Temporal separation?

Statistical independence?

Political or Moral independence?

We all know the answer: “My mom thinks I’m cool” verifies nothing, because she’s your ally — when even your enemies think you’re cool, only then are you truly cool.

Labs with financial, professional, or friendship ties, will not dare refute their allies —some fools define friendship, not as “Seeking the truth together”, like Aristotle, but as “Telling each other’s lies together.” (Don’t.)

Hence, I wrote in 2023: "Human enmity makes scientific truth possible, because true allies don't provide truly independent verification of results".

In more biblical terms: “The Snake is Why The Tree Exists. (!!) God made the snake in order to make the tree. The dark creates the light. Just as the the oldest Ugaritic tale ”Ba’al Defeats Mot” is Really The Halting Problem [forthcoming], ”Genesis” is really this: The Scientific Method. (!!)

A perfect god is omniscient, so knowledge must exist. For knowledge to exist for finite beings, for the tree of knowledge to grow, enmity must exist: the snake, independent verification of results, the enemy who thinks your theorem is a necessary truth.

It turns out, “no one has said this” in a very narrow sense, but what this really means is that ‘advanced’ ideas like The Halting Problem and The Scientific Method were known in antiquity before they were unencrypted:
