THE NDP STILL SUPPORTS CHILD ABUSE
... How I Refused To Rescind My NDP Membership
“The more I write about ABA Child Abuse, the more I get emails like these, which are hard to read:
“You know, when I graduated U of T I got work doing ABA because it was the only job I could find that I could use my psych degree for. And I hated it so much I used to cry before going to work in the morning, and had awful, deep anxiety about the whole thing. The woman who was in charge of the place seemed like an actual witch (though the people I directly reported to did not).
It was one of the worst times of my life and I quit after 6-8 months, I forget how long I was there but it felt like hell. I never once heard of it or thought of it as child abuse, but reading your letter now, everything clicked together- it was!!” -Anonymous”
The other day, I got a funny phone call — the NDP was desperately asking me to revoke my membership so they wouldn’t have to deal with me — no deal, I’m afraid, children are still being traumatized and I will still keep blowing the whistle.
On the surface, the complaint was about the federal election, in that I had run against Serena Purdy in University—Rosedale, but this is hardly the whole truth — as readers will know, the person I ran against, was Chrystia Freeland — I would have loved to amplify Purdy’s voice in this matter, but when I asked her as a voter for her criticisms of Freeland, I was blocked — this is evidence of the sheer depth of collusion between The Liberals and The NDP, violating the very independence of voters required for the conditions of Condorcet’s Jury Theorem, one of our best “epistemic arguments for democracy”, and showing why The NDP sends sacrificial candidates to the slaughter in this riding, rather than battle-testing them in a nomination vote to see who stands a real chance of toppling Freeland’s evil empire.
And a slaughter it was: Purdy’s results were an embarrassing shadow of the NDP’s past results in University—Rosedale federally…
These issues became connected, it appears, when I mass-emailed reports of ABA Child Abuse to party members AND to Children’s Aid, in the middle of their recent convention. The result appears to be, as outlined below, that a complaint was registered at that very same convention, but not about CHILD ABUSE — instead, those members triggered by the very real truths of a whistleblower sought to squelch ME, the squeaky wheel that gets the grease — the canary in the child abuse coal mine.
There were wild allegations that the idea that NDP members have independent electoral thought could bring disrepute upon the party in violation of the constitution, which hinged on a deliberate misreading of the code, and surely the careful reader and moral thinker will understand in a moment’s reflection that the true disrepute comes from systematic inaction on child abuse — save the party, be on the right side of history, and MASS REPORT ABA CHILD ABUSE TO CAS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE AN NDP MEMBER. As you will see below, I call for all members who do not report to be immediately stripped of their membership — they are also subject provincially to a $5000 fine from CAS.
… But I did not give in to this ‘struggle session’ — clearly, me rescinding my membership was easier for them, and effective whistleblowers have to make things difficult for the institutions they seek to reform, lest they fall into disrepute — the moral imperative here is to do what’s hard, and after discussing the surface issue with her, a mere issue campaign, I wrote her this about the real issue:
“SYSTEMIC NON-REPORTING OF CHILD ABUSE INTERNALLY IN THE NDP [PART 2]
Penny,
It was great talking to you, but ultimately, this has nothing to do with me, I am merely the whistleblower on a matter of grave importance: the systematic abuse of children.
The cognitive dissonance of this traumatic fact is too much for most to process, and, like the subconscious memory of trauma many repress, they seek to repress me, just as UofT repressed the psychoanalysts by shunting them into a side program, away from the psych department...but you shouldn’t shoot the messenger, you should protect children -- you should act to protect the vulnerable, as I have.
The person you morally need to speak to is Lulu Larceniciel, our in-house expert on this matter, whose motion, approved by the disability comitttee, that ABA is child abuse, is what set this entire series of events in motion, including mandatory reporting requirements to CAS for all adults who learned of this vote. That is why the vote was covered up instead of reported to CAS: to protect the dirty donor money coming from the child-abuse lobby group, the OAC. This same group first began the effort to push me out of the party...
Rima Berns-McGowan had the good will to meet directly with Lulu, and was pushed out -- they announced she would be leaving the same day they fired me, which is the same day I had stated in the notes I would be bringing to the team meeting my findings from what donors reported: they felt trapped in contracts for a therapy they did not support over alternatives, since these alternatives had not been offered -- instead they had signed sneaky contracts leaving them on the hook financially if the government pulled ABA funding, turning them into ‘zombie lobbyists’ for a therapy they did not choose by voting with their wallets, because autism funding is earmarked for this abusive industry, not sent directly to parents who can choose freely what therapy is best for their child, on the basis of consulting freely with professionals, not authoritarian politicians.
Please, for the love of God, listen to Lulu here, and then give her a call: https://blueprints-of-disruption.captivate.fm/episode/autistic-resistance-the-foundations
My actions since I first spoke to Lulu as a member and paid fundraiser speaking to a committee member about a formal vote, have served merely to amplify this woman’s voice, the pain and urgency in which I can still remember vividly, not to stifle Serena’s, who had no meaningful criticism of Chrystia Freeland when I asked her as a voter (instead she blocked me.)
Please note I am directly advised by another member of this committee in ensuring my actions are aligned with party goals. For their protection, their identity will remain secret.
I identify as a radical feminist, and a Heather McPherson supporter, and originally voted for Freeland, and had to run against her to atone for this sin, as I was given no meaningful opportunity to fight Freeland alongside the NDP, instead being pushed out in various ways over these other issues.
It would bring disrepute upon the party for me to raise all these issues in a 2-year long nomination campaign, and to do nothing instead of trying to get into a debate with Freeland as an issue candidate -- which was prevented, in that no debate was held in this riding!
If Lulu is happy with how the NDP handles ABA, I am happy -- until then, I will continue my activism to ‘blow the whistle’ and expose that THE NDP SUPPORTS CHILD ABUSE, membership or not -- what would bring ‘disrepute’ to the party is to do nothing -- the systemic inaction that leaves everyone mentioned in this story open to a $5000 fine stands to bring disrepute upon the party and should be a matter of internal discipline: I have reported directly to CAS, and all members that did not should be immediatley stripped of their membership for failing to report child abuse directly to CAS -- reporting to your superior is legally not valid.
Please note:
- I have just expanded the document “ABA BOMBSHELL SUMMARY“ with the contents of this reddit thread (now locked): https://www.reddit.com/r/ndp/comments/1no8rne/systemic_nonreporting_of_alleged_child_abuse/
- I originaly distributed this document electronically mid-convention, leading apaprently to some desire to do something about me, instead of a desire to do something about child abuse -- where the NDP and I are aligned in our true values of protecting the vulnerable
- now that you have learned of these facts, you face a $5000 fine unless you report directly to CAS, the NDP constitution has no jurisdiction over this:
Surely a systematic cover up of this vote by the disability committee is itself a more serious constitutional violation that trumps bickering over the 100-odd votes I got as an independent issue candidate with no threat of meaningful vote-splitting
Moreover, all actions against me are in fact punitive over this issue, meaning they are on shaky grounds legally:

Thank you for your attention on this matter. Sincerely.
