Do Animals Need Passports?

Last year, on May 24th, I got my first dose, and when they asked if I wanted a digital record, I said "no". They looked shocked, but how could they know I was the founder of the hashtag #BoycottPRESTO? They looked at me like I was crazy. Now, Presto has already been used to track illegal migrants and I've never liked regular passports[*], so I explained to them "Look, I support the vaccine, but not the passport" -- security people were called over, drawing attention to my desire for privacy -- one of the guards spoke "Oh they just said that there's not going to be a passport", -- "Not YET", I replied, "not YET" -- I turned around and the only staff looking up from their vaccine station to observe this was an indigenous woman.

Fast forward to September 11th, 2021, I went for my second dose and chose the digital option to compare -- I received a paper slip that said 'You have received 1 dose(s)' -- success! I was protected AND my first dose was a secret, 'off the grid', although the government kept a paper record like I did. In fact, I could have cheated and gotten a booster early since I was contacted by phone to be offered a 'second' dose which would have actually been my third. [PSA: this would be UNSAFE as the doses are different]

For some time, I went around using my paper receipt to tell this story, bringing awareness to the existence of an alternative to the digital passport in the process -- but by the time I went for my booster just before Christmas I already knew the QR code was going to be mandatory and allowed them, after their confusion, to create a digital record from my paper receipt and enter me completely into the Matrix, which I then went to see with my new QR code, where one friend was not allowed to enter because they only had a paper record OF their digital record -- no QR code -- a mere 8 months after I was assured I didn't need a digital record AND that the passport wouldn't even exist. Well, at least we can still #BoycottPRESTO
